I’m all mush-mind from those late-night futile mugging and JCRC stuff. At the moment, I’m a walking corpse of my previous self. Gone is that vigour. Is it depression seeping in? Perhaps, maybe.

It just feels like the world on my shoulders and nobody cares. All everyone cares for are answers. From tests to work to everything. Now I know how God feels without his powers. 

Now, it’s just my iTunes that keeps me company.

It’s back to emo-ing in front of the compooter. Someone save me. 

Lines can never be constant and straight. The action of forces causes it to bend. Like the forces in the world, gravity remains the ultimate force.

What goes up, must come down.

The economic cycle has gone full circle. I guess it’s time gravity puts its hand on the rest button.

Markets are beginning to slide. Lehmann brother’s today. AIG tomorrow. What else beyond?

My thoughts? Well, like how a river runs through, sediments get washed downstream. It’s only a matter of time that new sediments take the place of the old. Nothing is forever, rocks get weathered down, soil gets eroded.

I watched the Paralympics, not the Olympics.

Well done Laurentia and Pin Xiu for the two broze and silver medals. 

You have brought pride to Singapore!

But where are your $500k and $750k rewards respectively?

So it’s been a hat-trick, if not more of negative posts for the past few entries. Well, I must say that those were tough times that I was going through. And well, as we all know it, time passes (no, it doesn’t fly) no matter what. By just roughing it out there is an achievement on its own. Ok, enough of beating around the bush here…

I was kinda caught up over the past weeks due to JCRC elections. To put things simply, politics can be a total turnoff. Throughout that period, there were rumours flying and all that speculative fuck going around. It really rocked my boat hard. It’s not like I’m easily swayed by whatever others say. But to put it simply, sometimes, you just have to be the ballsucker and take whatever crap others fling at you. This is especially so during the crucial election period. Anyhow, these troubles were somewhat unfounded after the polling results were out. My presidential mandate had a 94% support rate.

You should think that I am elated. But, I guess, in this position of servitude to the hall, 94% is indicative of the high hopes the residents have of me. And as stolen from the Spiderman movie, with great powers come great responsibilities. So yeah, enter the matrix, into a parallel world that reflects the under-workings of hall.

Oh well, guess I should break the spell of negativity with an optimistic entry. So yeah, hope all things turn out for the best, if not better than best.

Is something missing in my life? Is that missing something haunting me? I wish I could tell.

Now all these have left me feeling emo and grumpy. I need directions.

Sometimes, such nit-picking intrudes into your personal life. The question is: is that necessary?

Oh well, time will tell.

Well, the world looks forward to it for many reasons. Detractors hope that the Olympics will bring to light the huge, immense flaws of China. Others hope to see this as China’s coming of age party; where she emerges as a developed, modern country. There are also others who would choose to politicise the Olympics and hope that the world takes China’s poor human rights record as a bargaining chip to the games’ attendance.

Oh well, reality is in motion right now. Let’s see how things pan out. I think I’ve stated my views about the Beijing Olympics before. But, some things just remain out of control and you can only watch and see and your words become sideline commentary.

This weekend is also when Singapore celebrates her 43rd birthday. I wonder if Singapore’s lifespan is going to mimic that of a human being. I don’t know but some tell-tale signs point that direction.

• Dismal birth rate
• Introduction of casinos as a tourist attraction
• Declining manufacturing industries (our main source of income)

As Singaporean as I am. As much as I love my nation. I can only be cautiously optimistic.

Well, after all, Confucius says that one must care for his family above all. Being innately Chinese, I’ll care for their future by coming up with an exit plan. An exit to greener pastures where they will enjoy their lives.
